Built by Tyler Tracey
Guitarist, developer, and music theory enthusiast. I built Fourths Hub because I wanted the tools I wished existed when I started exploring all-fourths tuning.
What is Fourths Hub?
The guitar in standard tuning has an inconsistency between the G and B strings — a major 3rd instead of a perfect 4th. All-fourths tuning eliminates this, making every pattern moveable and symmetrical across all six strings.
Fourths Hub provides free, interactive tools for learning and exploring music on guitar in fourths tuning (and other tunings). Scale visualizers, chord voicing builders, voice leading explorers, practice tools, structured courses, and more — all designed for the way fourths tuning actually works.
Philosophy
- Information should be free. Every tool on this site is available at no cost. No ads, no paywalls.
- Partnerships over paywalls. In the future, I may collaborate with other guitarists to offer curated courses. The core tools will always remain free.
- Open to support. Building and maintaining these tools takes real time and effort. If you find them useful, donations and support are always appreciated.
